重张后的北京音乐厅外观通透时尚，内部设计尽显庄重大气、舞台音效通透圆润音质饱满、剧场服务日臻完善，已日渐成为国际古典音乐领域极具代表性的专业演出场所。      这里每年有包括钢琴、弦乐、交响乐、合唱、歌剧、民乐等各类形式在内的演出200余场；梅纽因、斯特恩、小泽征尔、马友友、斯科达、多明哥、卡巴耶、梅斯基、郎朗、刘诗昆、殷承宗、傅聪、吕思清、埃森巴赫等艺术家都曾在北京音乐厅的舞台留下光辉的一页。

改建后的北京音乐厅建设用地面积2750平米。音乐厅共有观众座席1024个，每个软椅都进行了消音处理，观众可在宽松、舒适的环境欣赏演出。

舞台面积约为270平米，台口宽21米，主舞台深度13米，可同时容纳百人交响乐团及合唱团。舞台吊顶采用美国引进的新型反音板，共16块，可最大限度保证观众区每个角度还原声音本色。音乐厅内还采用了一系列现代化建筑声学措施，良好的频率特性和适度的混响时间以及均匀的声场分布，使北京音乐厅不仅具备国际一流专业演出场所的场地条件，更为艺术家们提供了绝佳的同期录音场地。舞台后区大型管风琴，是我国引进的第一部大型管风琴，4859个音管，迄今已有二十余年，仍保留着良好的音质音效，也仍是目前北京最大的管风琴之一。同时，北京音乐厅拥有国际最先进的同期录音设备和专业录音技术，众多唱片公司在这里录制专辑并在全球发行。

Here, over 200 performances for each year, including piano, strings, symphonic, choral, opera, folk music, etc. Artists like Menuhin, Stern, Seiji Ozawa, Yo-Yo Ma, Skoda, Domingo, Cabaille, Maisky, Lang Lang, Liu Shikun, Yin Chengzong, Fou Tsong, Lu Siqing, Eschenbach, etc. have left a glorious memory in the Beijing Concert Hall.

Meanwhile, the Beijing Concert Hall has the most advanced equipment and technology of live recordings. Numerous record companies made their album here and released worldwide.
